Clinical Counseling
David I. Manock PhD
Clinic Supervisor
MDiv, MS MFT, LMFT, OBLPCT SupervisorSalem, Oregon
As a pastor for 45+ years and a clinical counselor and psychotherapist for 25+, David pours thousands of hours of experience into his private MFT and psychotherapy practice. Having constructed a new theory called the Manock Integrative Method (MIM), David combines Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Intersubjectivity Psychoanalysis (IS), and Attachment Theory (AT) with foundations in neurobiology and theology. EFT is the most researched form of couples therapy with an AT and Gestalt base, and IS is the current, state-of-the-art, fifth generation psychoanalysis focusing on two-person psychology. David regularly shares his research and insights at conferences and seminars. Areas of focus: research on an individual's Image of God (seeing God as an attachment figure for the human); individual psychotherapy; couples therapy; counseling for pastors; PTSD therapy; and the training and supervision of licensed supervisors, clinicians, interns and pastoral counselors. Christopher David
Clinic Director
MS, LMFTSalem, Oregon
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background of working with teens and families. Areas of focus: depression, suicidality, ADHD, anxiety, and the impact on a family when one member struggles with cognitive and developmental difficulties. My philosophy encompasses elements of attachment theory, family systems theory, and intersubjectivity psychoanalysis. I believe that secure, committed, reciprocal relationships are the cornerstone to healthy psychological functioning. I personally operate from a Christian worldview that sees all persons as created in the image of God and worthy of love and respect regardless of race, creed, gender, or politics. Read full bio here.

Through his own journey of facing life’s pain he has learned that a compassionate counseling can help a person move from pain to peace. John considers it an honor to explore with his clients their sources of painful emotions and experiences, whether connected to the past (such as grief, deep sorrow, guilt, un-forgiveness, anger, bitterness, disappointment) or defining their current state of being (such as fear, anxiety, hopelessness, shame, loneliness, depression, rejection). Navigating these sources of pain becomes a journey of discovery toward the peace and joy God might bring to your life. John provides individual counseling in Salem, Oregon.

J. Landon Pagett
Affair Recovery Director
MDiv, ICI CPCSalem, Oregon
As a pastor for 25 + years Landon often saw the limitations of pastors (himself included) who were either too busy, or not adequately trained, to do effective counseling with the people they served. He also recognized the limitations of many Christian therapists who, lacking theological training, could not offer counsel that was truly psychologically and theologically integrated. Desiring to help fill this gap Landon joined the ICI. Now a Level 3 ICI Certified Pastoral Counselor, Landon serves on the Exec Team as the Director of both Pastoral Outreach and Affair Recovery. Landon is resolutely passionate to see individuals and couples experience someone who stands WITH them in their pain and find joy and creativity in moving towards becoming the person or couple God has made them to be.
