2025 ICI Beach Retreat Registration

Welcome! We are thrilled that you will be joining us at our annual beach retreat. Please read the following details. To register, fill out the form below and submit payment through the button provided.

DATE/TIME:

  • Friday-Sunday, Oct. 31-Nov.2, 2025
  • Check-in is 4 pm Friday; check-out is 12 PM Sunday
  • Our first session will begin at 6 PM on Friday, with dinner served at 5 PM

LOCATION/LODGING:

  • We have three beach houses within a minute of each other at Road's End in Lincoln City, Oregon; addresses will be shared via email as we near the event
  • All meals and teaching sessions will take place in the living room of the main house
  • All guests (unless registered as non-lodging) will be assigned bedrooms in the two houses; married couples will have a private room while individuals will be assigned a roommate. You will receive this information before the retreat although last minute changes may need to occur
  • Non-lodgers will join all activities and meals but will make personal arrangements to sleep elsewhere
  • The beach houses are not ADA accessible; we hope to rectify this at future retreats

THEME:  Image of God: Trauma, Intersubjectivity, and Our Attachment to God

Dr. Manock's doctoral thesis, titled "Image of God", presented seminal research into how humans attach to God, an attachment impacted by our childhood attachment styles and developing in us either "God Concepts" or "God Images".  At ICI's 2025 retreat Dr. Manock will weave together Image of God Theory, Attachment Theory, and Intersubjectivity Psychoanalysis in an effort to deeply examine trauma and its impacts on relationships.

What is hiding in our emotional/relational basements? How do these core memories, key attachment relationships, and trauma itself, impact the way we engage in relationships today with God and others? How do we process our own trauma, and that of our clients? How do we move from fear to joy?

The retreat will be a mix of teaching and live team (small groups), so expect to delve deep and have some vulnerable moments. Each retreat is life-changing in big or small ways, and we can't wait to experience this year's retreat with you!

CE CREDITS:

  • 20 hours of CEUs are available to clinicians for an additional $200. Jocelyn Castaneda will take your payments for CEUs once at the retreat.

MEALS:

  • Meals are shared as a group and are prepared by meal teams
  • All guests will be placed on a meal team. Each meal team will be in charge of one meal: purchasing, prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning up
  • Meal teams will be assigned 1 month before the retreat; we will share your email address with your team so that you can plan
  • Each team will have a leader who has done this before
  • Coffee, drinks, and snacks will be provided by ICI, but feel free to bring whatever you want or need for yourself (or to share)!

RETREAT COST/PAYMENTS:

  • $300.00 individual
  • $200 individual non-lodging
  • $450 married couple
  • $350 married couple non-lodging
  • Payment required to reserve your spot
  • Cancellation policy: Full refund if cancelled before October 1, 2025. Half refund if cancelled Oct. 1-23, 2025. No refund if cancelled after Oct. 23.

The retreat is located in Lincoln City, Oregon. We have three beach houses near each other with the main house hosting the teaching sessions and the meals. All bedrooms are pre-assigned. Married couples will have their own rooms and individuals will share bedrooms with someone of the same gender. If "non-lodging" you are agreeing to make your own sleeping arrangements at a different location but to still join us for meals and teaching sessions.
All retreat attendees will be assigned to a meal team that will PREPARE, SERVE, and CLEAN UP a single meal for all of the retreat guests. We will email you approximately two weeks before the retreat with your assignment details. Agreeing to this, which is required to register, gives permission to ICI admin to share your name and email address with others on your meal team.
We will have 5 meal teams. Each team needs a volunteer leader to connect with their team and organize the meal. Meal team leaders will be organized into an email group with each other and with their individual teams. If you volunteer and are selected as a leader, you will be contacted by Harmony in September.
