Matthew Kimmell, ICI Director of Pastoral Counseling
Matthew and his beautiful wife Becca have lived in the Willamette Valley for most of their lives. They have two sweet children, Adeline and Jebidiah. Matt has worked in pastoral roles for over 15 years and is currently the worship pastor at Northside Church in Albany, Oregon.
Matt joined ICI in 2018 and holds level 4 ICI certification as a pastoral counselor. He is the Director of Pastoral Counselors for ICI, heading up the ICI pastoral counseling training and certification track. He the first point of contact for those curious about earning ICI certification or becoming a pastoral counselor. As ICI's primary seminar and workshop organizer, Matt is also the first point of contact for those who wish to schedule an event. Matt can regularly be found speaking and leading on all things relationship centered. His RE(pair) and (Pair)enting workshops are examples what ICI offers the community.
With a profound grasp of the Manock Integrative Method and a deep belief in the power of relationships to heal relational hurt, Matt utilizes Attachment Theory, EFT, and Intersubjectivity in his counseling approach. He is the founder of Kimmell Counseling, an affiliate of ICI, serving teenagers, adults, couples and families in the Albany and Salem areas. Appointments are available both in-person and online.
